fonts by Adrian Williams
Adrian Williams began his career converting many established metal designs for the new filmsetting devices in 1969. During the 70s he converted many existing 'hot metal' typefaces for digitised systems, working with each Manufacturer to make fonts for each of their unique system formats. This led to the production of custom made fonts for discerning Clients, design for Corporate Identity and Branding commissions for Logos. He is responsible for many of his own original typeface designs sold world-wide.
Club Type was founded in 1985, coinciding with the emergence of the PostScript language and font format. A range of typefaces arose from a demand for quality design and fit on the dedicated typesetting systems which prevailed at the time.
Advances in font technology have made the Club Type Collection widely available for many popular electronic publishing systems. Club Type offers its products in formats such as PostScript, TrueType
and OpenType through world-wide distribution agreements with Adobe Inc, Linotype, Monotype Imaging (fonts.com), MyFonts.
From time to time the Collection continues to
offer further original typeface designs of relevance to Typographers, Creative Directors, Advertising Agencies and Design Groups — the specifiers of type, expanding the range to include OpenType
'Pro' fonts for mutliple languages and expert features such as ligatures, special characters and
contextual joining scripts.
